Fed up of dealing with idiots

Do some people think their money is so important to us that we will spend hours running around after them.

Woman calls after leaflet drop and says she wants a call in a couple of months as she is having new windows fitted then, so would like to start regular after that.

"Ok, I'll give you a call then" I say.

Two months passes and I call. "Oh, they've only just been fitted, so add me next month".

"Fair enough" I say, "I'll add you on then".

So she is due a clean now. I messaged on sunday night saying I was coming, leave money out, gate, blah blah. She texts at 10:30pm saying "Not tomorrow thankyou as its not convenient, I'll call you next week". I'm getting a bit piss3d off now, but as it turned out I got cancelled on monday due to the rain, so I sent a message saying I'll be round on wednesday, (it can only be wednesday as this fits in with the compact round I have in her area,I'm not making a special trip for it, especially as I'm only charging normal rate).

.....

10:30pm tonight, she texts saying, "I said I would call you next week".

my reply...

"Next week is not convenient for me, and neither is a text message at 10:30pm. Find another window cleaner".

Best part about this job is not putting up with messers like this.:thumbsup::rock:

Yep, was just drifting off. I would never call or text anyone after 9:00, its just rude unless its an emergency. She did it twice, even though she had 2 days notice the second time.

iv jus got to thinking about sh/tty texts - some people crave to get genuine sh/tty texts . for a long time i didnt like getting them,but now i kinda like em

one i got recently " hi ,i will pay my bill tomorrow but i will no longer have your services after that just to make you aware i was in bed following a night shift i dont mind being woken up but the language one of the young lads was using was completely unacceptable with my children in the house im not a prude but dont want to hear about his escort services and not wanting to "f" a fat bird and getting paid to get laid "

i replied , im very sorry he will be sacked immediately

but later wished id replied , what rates was he quoting,i dont want him undercutting me

Must be so hard dealing with staff when they present a bad image like that. You did right though, its best to rise above your initial annoyance for the people like that with a genuine complaint, and save your wrath for the stupid bints like this woman. This truly is a great business to be able to eliminate stressful customers on a whim. When I'm doing larger painting jobs and the like I have to bite my tongue with folk I don't like, because I have usually outlaid a load on materials, time, and blood and sweat. So to walk off site in a huff would serve nothing but lose me a lot of money. But to be chasing about for this woman and her £14 monthly charge, no chance am I going to put up with sillyness no matter how much I wanted her house on my round- I'm trying to sew up this particular street.
