Another death knell in window cleaning using ladders. Hope he makes a full recovery. Health and Safety will make a meal or  this.

Such an unnecessary thing to have happened when their are safer alternatives out there.

He wasn't using a ladder.He was abseiling above  a shop  on Oxford st due to the very high foot fall and busy road this should have been the safest way .

Safest way is to cone off area and WFP it.  Always the safest option.

i'm  with you 9/10  wfp is safer and will allways be the preferred method by any one including myself but you won't wfp 60ft in the air on the busiest high street in the uk you would be standing in the road.

Hire a cherry picker at this height or just dont do them. its really stupid to use ladders.Hope the guy recovers.I fell from 12ft once broke 3 fingers and badly bruised my side.IF and its a big if I get on a ladder I make sure it wont move period.

He's cleaning it before 6 30 in the morning and it said no one was really around.

so cones and Wfp should be fine busiest high street true but that's only when the shops are open as it said no witnesses.
