Ouch that sounds nasty, worse than mine I reckon. I can't think of anything worse than landing on the back of my head, that makes your whole brain shudder. You got lucky it wasn't too serious a head injury. I turned around to walk down face first, second from top step disappeared, you know when walking down some stairs and you are expecting another step and there isn't and that jolt you get, just had that fell face first from 7/8ft up and then my elbow hit the corner of some concrete edging. Likely never be able to fully straighten/bend it again.

Hence why ladders suck daveyboy /emoticons/wink.png

This is what I do put ecover in a soap dispenser . put 1 litre of pure water in bottle add 1 squirt of ecover and 70 mls of distilled vinegar shake bottle.now pour 200mls of mix into smaller plastic bottles . When trad pour into bucket then gallon of water. If wfp pour bottle into 25 litre drum and shake well. No smell no suds .Last time I got some vinegar from Tesco only 39p for a plastic bottle .

Thanks for asking daveyboy, physio yesterday said another 9weeks really, but its getting better, I'm thinking more like 3 weeks, I need to start earning some proper money again!

Off to get some vinegar, lemon juice and a few ither things to test out some eco-friendly cleaning mixes

get well soon

I find it tends to reduce the amount of big white suds but don't affect the performance of the soap
This is what I was trying to say in my previous quote. The bigger the bubbles the more water there is, so, more soap, less water should give small bubbles and a mix that will not run. I don't think it matters what washing up liquid you use, as long as it is good quality, it'll all do the same job.

Cheers Lee.

Expermenting with all sorts in the soap today, I feel like hestin bloomentlile lol. Anyone used bicarbonate of soda in the mix or do you think that might scratch some windows?

Mr Bump hope your soon back to full strength at least you will have a new mixture to use without messing about cos we will have done the trying out for you . Put 20 mls of flash I my ecover/vinegar mix loved it til midges come out

What's with all the measuring

Just squirt of this dash of that job done

The only reason i put quantities on this post was cos that was the size of the bottles i used

Just pour some in and use it lol

I add my soap to the applicator which i find uses loads less than in a bucket

A small washing up liquid bottle full of my mix lasts days

Yep

Wet applicator and then add a little line of soap to the applicator

That is enough for a house on a maintenance clean..i use a moerman applicator which holds a lot of water

I use a wagtail a lot now also so use a bottle of soap/water mix on my belt for wetting that while up ladder etc away from bucket as it dries out quick

When i start a house and put soap direct on a wagtail scrubber i find i only need to quickly dunk it in the bucket when it needs re wetting but has enough soap on to finish an average 3 bed

You get used to playing with soap water consistency depending on weather and how dirty etc like that whereas in a bucket it is just 1 consistency

I use an old flash concentrate bottle for my soap as i find the lids don't break as easy as fairy etc

Also when the water gets a bit dirty i can just tip it out and refill the bucket from garden taps without then having to squirt loads more soap in..no wastage
