Anyone using Moreman Liquidator?

Do you never get a trail from the tip of your rubber Eric? I've had mine flush, slightly over/under and still a trail

LOL. Late PM and I was wearing shades. It was definitely caused by light drag from picking up surface gunk off the glass. I just left it soaking in hot water and my normal Ecover/IPA mix. Gave it a good wipe, bladed a couple of windows and it was good to go.

Sure, If I don't get my turns right and keep the angle precise but I notice when it is happening, generally when my hand is above shoulder level so I just grit my teeth and go back over it. It also happens with my home dogged ones from time to time as well. I'm in the process of assembling an 18" Wagulator Flipper and am really interested how length of channel effect lines, (I predict worse). Liquidator channel: absolutely flush with end clips, back pinched in so rubber is held firmly (not over tight and not sloppy). I've forgotten...you use fixed handle or Wagtail handle?

Really can't get along with the razr red in liquidator, it seems to drag and leave horrendous marks if going into the dry area slightly. I'm back to Ettore rubber at moment but Friday i did job with the Moerman rubber that comes with liquidator in my 11" and I've grown to like that rubber.

If you're using a Wagtail handle I find the absolutely critical thing is making sure that there is ZERO slop between handle and disc. I toss the original bolt and replace it with a SS with a smooth shank. I also epoxy SS washers on either side of the disc so that wear on the plastic is negated. I check regularly that the bolt and nut are 'snicked' up tight, still ensuring free movement of course. Check out the attached pics. I also epoxy the washers to my combi channels as well. Note smooth shanked bolt...

What's your preferred standard channel and handle set up.....non wagtail and liquidator.

They are all I use Keefo and honestly have refined my workflow tremendously.... but hypothetically, let's say Willie and Moerman wiped each other off the face of the earth in a nuclear fallout (it is possible you know... ) then I'd go back to 0° Unger, 14" Unger Channel and Ettore rubber for pole work and good old Ettore Quick release Brass for in hand...10,14 and 18" channels

Some swear by rzr red in the liquidator! Me? I'm with you keefo, just didn't work! But put some in my modded 10" and my 12" S+ channel and after the initial breaking in period you have to endure with rzr red, I gotta say it's gliding across the glass beautifully. Yes still get the odd line but not to the extent I was with the liquidator.

Used Moerman soft in the same channels recently and that was great too. :thumbsup:

LOL. I doubt it Keefo. After the debacle over on FB in the weekend Willie ended up booting me off both of his groups...annoyed me a bit as I was going to leave this morning anyway but the bad tempered sod beat me to it... seriously though, I would probably have bought one. I think the glide pad has real potential for the summer. The precision clips I'm ambivalent about. I've got enough handles and I do have the new clips so I'll probably just have a go at making one...

I'm not into all the ins and outs of the arguments, want went on? Is that Willie just a salesman for Wagtail or is he the owner and who is Mark Munro somebody mentioned some fuss over. Is the Wagtail combi sny good and is that done so you don't have to detail like the PG.

Willie (wagtail) Erken is the inventor of wagtail and a very childish person if anyone dares criticise his products

I once said after he was slating the liquidators that all products including his had flaws and got a mouthfull off him

About time he grew up

With a little thought he could make a tremendous product with no issues that we would all buy but instead he keeps pumping out :turd: that we have to modify..but it's a fact there is no better pole tool around once modified properly otherwise i would not buy them

I rate the Orbital Flipper (combi with same channel, handle, but pad attaches to top fin with clips) because to date it allowed me to clear deep frames on close out without the pad bunching. My Wagulator with new clips is lighter, smoother, more accurate and closes out just as well...

I have my pad on top like polz and have to flip it upwards. .the good thing is it doesn’t bunch but your way looks good

The Combi is promoted as a One Pass and personally I find it useless for that purpose. It simply won't consistently close out using it like that and The blue clips with Velcro annoy the hell out of me. The PG (as it is currently) has a smaller pad that is there primarily to provide glide and trap water between it and the blade providing continuous slip even over drying glass. Although initially promoted as a one pass it is now...sigh...being said that for general use it should be used alongside a traditional scrubber.

Thanks Dave. I find at this height and lower, even on deeper frames I can pretty much close out unhindered. At higher than this where space is tight and frames are deep I do reverse it and have it flipping over. Whatever keeps us off the ladders eh?

I think i would have always used a separate proper scrubber also though as some windows round here are caked in ****. I take two scrubbers with me for filthy windows and frames then with first pass on one just flood it with water from the top then the second scrubber has all the soap on.

Yep. Bought some Steccone channels off them. Their freight to NZ made my nose bleed. By the by Steccone on Wagtail neither better or worse than the standard Wagtail channel but they oxidise like crazy...

iv come to realize that the liquidator channel does a great job BUT is no great joy to actually use . it gets great results oh yes ,no detailing saving time but i cannot breeze thru my day with it like i did with a regular channel.

its a bit like using a fine scriber pen compared to a roller pen ,the writing looks great but the glide isnt there
