Living abroad and having a round in England

Sounds great go for it! I'd like to have a little round in France ideally but apparently window cleaning is not a thing there?! There's demands for gite cleaning and maintenance though so I'd do that instead

Living abroad and having a round in England

I'm liking this idea! I have owned a house in France for 15 years and always dreamed of living there. The whole Brexit debacle has made it a now or never decision. Maybe this is the way to do it? I work full time for the fire service and often thought about coming back to the UK do my shifts...

    Help me choose please!

? yes does a bit, he says that he's got it out the garage after a few years, filled it with petrol and it started first time. Yeah starting to think it might be worth giving it a miss. Just thought it might be easily serviced and sorted?

    Help me choose please!

Turned down a few PW jobs so far as only been going for just over a year but just done a job and there's a load more work he wants doing but it includes a small PW job so thinking of taking the plunge in a minor way. I mainly service Victorian terraced houses in a very built up area so my main...

Recommend stiff telescopic pole to reach gutter height

Hmm not a bad idea, didn't think of that??

    Cleaner Planner SMS feature

I've been using squeegee today and had major issues. Got home and decided to go about re-installing the app. The download and install of the app took forever, in fact gave up after about 20 mins, however it did it in the end and it. 'seems' to be a little better but only used it a little since...

Recommend stiff telescopic pole to reach gutter height

No need something robust and stiff not a WFP, aluminium probably or are trad poles stiff? Never used one

Recommend stiff telescopic pole to reach gutter height

Looking for a quality telescopic pole to reach normal house gutters comfortably. Something like a Harris pole or painter pole but do they go up that high? Above all needs to be as stiff as possible so I can get some decent force behind it. Tried my slx today and was way too bendy.

    My first couple of months

I've never gone back to collect one payment ? I send a reminder but two cleans max then won't call after that, then threaten court action. Done that twice now, one paid up the other end up taking to small claims court for £25 + costs. He got a CCJ served and still didn't pay, couldn't be arsed...

    Cleaner Planner SMS feature

It's a lot slower for me since the server change in afraid, and my devices haven't changed at all. I'm sure it will sort it's self out, I always find that pulling the plug out and back in again sorts most technical problems ?

    My first couple of months

Well done fella you have a good head on your shoulders! I'm just over a year in with my own business and it certainly builds it's own momentum. I got a van for £600 to start out with and it's been as reliable as anything, it sailed through the MOT without even one thing wrong so been very lucky...

    Neighbours right to complain?

I've tried connecting two wheelie bins together with normal sized pipe and the water cannot drain from one to the other quick enough to keep up with the pump - it's a massive bottle neck in the whole system. Better off with just one container It would be nice to keep everything in one place...

    Neighbours right to complain?

@Chad Lewis Chad how far is it you have to pump. Where are you storing/making your water?

    Neighbours right to complain?

You got it good fella! I live in center of portsmouth and it's so busy round here, I'm lucky to park within a few minutes walk from my house! I make all my own water in a large shed at the bottom of my garden and then have to run a hose out over 40m down a back alley - through cat/fox/hedgehog...

@Squeegee App cheers for that, I can understand scaling up your servers for all your new customers must be a challenge but to be perfectly honest with you I have experienced nothing but a serious slow down in how the app respond/functions. In fact I don't even bother updating any jobs when I'm...

    Cleaner Planner SMS feature

@Squeegee App Thanks for the reply. I have been using the app for almost a year now so don't need a walkthrough, i've worked most of it out, but thanks for the offer! However some kind of guide would have been nice?! A lot of the features, especially the appointment/quote/job/invoice workflow is...

    Cleaner Planner SMS feature

Yes everyone has their own way certainly, I think it all depends on your demographic and size of business..lot's of old dears then you probably need paper slips, commercial customers will need professional looking quotes and invoices via Email, but most of my customers are domestic properties...

    Cleaner Planner SMS feature

I bought 100 credits to test it out and so far the SMS feature seems very basic. With squeegee you can add tokens such as [firsname] and [outstanding balance], with these you can craft a highly customised message that gets stored ready for you to send at a click of a button. CP just seems to...

    Cleaner Planner SMS feature

I have used squeegee for the last year but there are certain things that frustrate me and that i still find extremely confusing, especially the appointment/quote/job flow. The quote that gets generated through the app is so basic and badly formatted that I feel too embarrassed to send to a...
