30ft or 40 ft water fed pole?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

That would very much depend on the pitch of the roof, good luck working at 40' with that. Any pole will work with a backpack, you just need the correct connections
When you say good luck, is that because 40ft is very difficult? Or this one is very heavy?

I am only looking to spray the roof, not brush clean it. So I will replace the head with a spray nozzle

Read the description 'The brass hose connector can be easily connected to the garden hose using any hardware store that provides hose connectors (quick connectors, not included). Turn on the faucet and you can immediately clean the windows, greenhouse, fascia and soffit' That should sound warning bells!!! If you don't know why then you have a bit of reading to do. Have a search for tds!

Just realised you are not intending to use it for window cleaning - sorry.

40ft is quite long especially for aluminium poles, note there are no reviews - not even fake ones!!!!

Working at height isn't easy and without decent equipment it could be dangerous.

If you are going to spray a roof you will need something like this you will struggle to hold a pole at that height and angle let alone get an evan coverage . A backpack will do it but will be painfully slow compared tk a decent trolly . We now use a nano trolly so much quicker and much larger volume applied in a fraction of the time .

Thanks all, I guess I just wanted something that I can spray the roof with, within £450 ish. That is lightweight and easy to manuerve. I don't mind leaving the backpack on the floor

Not as much as an alloy pole, I assumed as he was raking around in the bargain bucket department he didn't have the funds to buy something suitable to work at that height.
Not used the long alloy ones , we use an ultimate 46 pole and don’t extent the top section it’s then rock  solid and doesn’t flex but that’s an expensive pole .

It’s not about leaving the backpack on the floor it’s going to take an age to spray a roof with the volume it will supply

Have a look at Partridge Exterior cleaning on youtube - I'm not saying he is perfect but he has a few vids on cleaning roofs and the kit he used - he did use a renagade ali pole to scrape but he now uses carbon poles! He also used to use ladders! but now uses a tower!!!

Remember it's not worth risking your life for a few ££

Get a dosatron instead of a backpack.

A 6ft scaffold tower will take the strain out of the job by a million percent.

A spray nozzle is fine if working with a shortish pole, if working at a distance 100% go for a wheeled sprayer like @Pjj or use an old supreme brush with fan jets and just cut away 1/4" worth of bristles from each side of the jets
