I have been running a 200gpd pumped by vyair system for about 6 years.

Great system, no problems, a bit slow takes 24hrs to get 1000 litres.

I usually need to replace membranes every 12 months and that time has come.

Now, I have a 4040 Champ housing in the garage and wanted to know if I invested in a new membrane what sort of lifespan could I expect.

The 200gpd vyair is around 21ppm after 12 months and around 52,000 of pure per year.

In all probability the same as your current membrane.

How often do you replace your prefilters?

You tell us your current rejection rate is 21ppm, but you haven't told us your input ppm or the ratio of your waste to pure when producing pure water.

You will also need prefilter housings with 1/2" hose fittings. Some suppliers fit 10" housings as standard but I would advise 20".

At 21ppm your membrane/s is/are only removing 92% of the dissolved solids in your water.

To produce 52000 liters of pure your r/o is sending 78,000 liters to the drain at your ratio of 60/40 (waste/pure). Your carbon filters will be filtering the chlorine out of 130,000 liters of water.

A 10" Fiberdyne filter has a service life of 37,800 liters. You should be changing the Fiberdyne more regularily than every 6 months to meet the manufacturers recommendations. So this could be the reason why your membranes aren't lasting?
