I think what happened the seller bidded it up in the hope someone would outbid him.. Happens all the time with the same old type of story.. Buyer pulled out ect ect

 
No i didn't buy it im going to buy a new slx
I've learnt my lesson i bought a genie in a box second hand and I've been having problems with it I'm thinking pump is nacked how much would it cost to replace pump any idea's ??

It would be best to open a new topic to keep it seperate from the hand hand pole saga.

Please also explain what the problem is that you are experiencing. What pump is it etc?

This is another another used gardiner pole that sold on eBay yesterday.
Advertised as an SLX 18ft, but it looks more like a CLX pole to me ??

Who knows, but this one has been advertised incorrectly as an SLX when its a CLX.

If it was a genuine buyer and he finds out he been dupped, will he be able to claim false advertising? After all, there are photos of the actual pole and could the seller claim it was an erro as the 'S' on the keyboard isn't far from the 'C'.

With Ebay purchases is the old addage - buyer beware. 'Due dilegence' is an essential part of on line buying and then setting a maximum price you would be prepare to bid to on an auction.
