I've just got a fibredyne prefilter to use in my 450gpd set up.

As my water is not good ( 330ppm ) I've got a sediment filter before the fibredyne, someone said this is a good idea?

The fibredyne is good for 37,500 lts, anyone know how long the sediment filter will last?

It's in the transparent container so will I see it clog up?

Until it clogs up or replace when you replace the carbon filter.

I have a pressure gauge each side of the prefilters. Those tell me if the sediment filter is starting to block up. My tap water pressure is 50psi and after the prefilters its 50 psi as well when the filters are new. If we have a bad run of sediment laden water I prematurely change the sediment filter when the pressure on the gauge after the C/B filter is 40psi. Usually I change both together when the Fiberdyne filter needs changing.

I have a water meter on the r/o that tell me when the Fiberdyne filter is due for replacement.
