Any advice on cutting ladder down to size?

I got this ten year old double section window ladder I never used anymore l am thinking of the best way to cut this ladder down in sizes and used it a single section windows ladder for high windows ground floor.

Have anyone done this before?

Yes iv done it, I made wooden feet for it and bolted it in. I used mahogany off some old furniture or you can use the original feet
