I did,

Did my local round, normally walk there from house, but thought id drive, waste of fuel I know but alot of the paths are still icy and slippery.

Put Ecover in bucket as usual aswell as red/pink screen wash which goes down to minus 9 worked perfectly.

Hands kept getting cold even though wearing sealskins lol, woulda been colda without them, think thats cause they got wet(hands are still dry tho)

Bring on the summer, although rather be cold like this though, then rain, rain and more rain ey lads!

G

Yeah went out and done a bit myself out in the sticks, done alright actually got £160 in, used the old meths in with my ecover and vinegar and worked a treat, wish it worked on my bloody hands tho, they were ice cold bud!

went up and had a drive around the work thats due, but my round is quite high up altitude-wise so none of the snow and ice has melted one bit so its still 2 inches deep in snow, and ice under it and ontop proper crunchy and slippy. plus cause its on a hill the driveways and paths are quite steep so i decided not to bother. my mate broke his leg a week before christmas braving it in the ice so thought "no thanks". deffo no wfp getting done and the ally ladders stay in the garage and the wooden ones are better than wearing any gloves i cant wear gloves i've tried all sorts the only ones i could put up with was fingerless but like i say wood feels warm to the touch even down to these temps

Minus 4 or 5 here, so screenwash worked well

Me boots keep feet warm down to minus 20 lol(what about summer then will they be roasting hot?)

Loads of layers long johns and thermal vest.

was sweating lol

I know what you mean about hands getting cold, even wearing gloves really is silly cold out there.

I don't like wooden ladders, what about splinters? lol

no dont get splinters, i rub the edges down with sand paper about once a week. i only use em when the temp gets down to + 2 or 3 downwards. water doesn't get my hands cold its allys, literally burns sometimes

Thats true, I notice more when holding my squeegee, even though has a rubber handle the channel still makes my finger ends burning cold(even with gloves)

I dont know how you can work in this weather without gloves Rayleigh. I had a full day out. It was -5 to begin with. Never got warmer than -3. I expected the water to freeze on the glass but it didnt.......the houses must have been well heated inside. I am at my worst when I first start. The cold can make you feel a bit *****. After a cup of tea and a big slice of cake I was fine. The fingers are the worst thing. I ditched my sealkskinz for the wifes sking gloves. They seemed a lot warmer. I must have looked a wally as they are partly pink!.

Only made 50 quid, but worked slowly and carefully as there was snow and ice everywhere.

Think it was only - 1 here mate, but yeah I should get some gloves, but find them annoying! Tho I'll prob find frostbite more annoying! Hey £50 is better than £0 mate, think I only made £60 today. Ha pink gloves is a good look!!!

Minus 3 in Manchester today, Had a walk and the Canal was frozen over with Ducks ice skating. Work in this kind of weather a couple of years ago and had a few houses where the water turned to ice before I could squeegee it off. Keep warm Guys.

I was out all day 9am-3.45pm great day up here in ayrshire, hands were bit cold to start with then again Idon't wear gloves.

You dont want to go out raping in this weather it will drop off .

it was dam cole raped up warfm this morning hole days cleans still got to go out tomoz not looking forward to it

Went out again today.....took it nice and steady and only made 50 quid again, but it was a relief to get out. I have also discovered that my wifes (partly pink) ski gloves from aldi are definitely warmer than my sealskinz. I look a right tart wearing them....lol. I am starting to get second opinions about sealskinz, particularly as they cost so much.

That could be it lads for a few days....snow is forecast for a few days. I am a bit concerned about next week with more snow being forecast. I am getting badly behind with my work and, of course, not so much dosh coming in.
