Anyone keep the cardboard tubing their pole came in?

Is it worth keeping the cardboard pole container? I mean to put pole or something? Throw it out?

I've got a cardboard tube in the back that I got from my carpet fitting days. I slide my broom, and a few short poles in it, very useful, and free. Carpet tubes are very heavy duty, and you can probably just go to a carpet right and pick a few up if you want one.

Oops- I thought it was the cardboard tube I'd paid hundreds for, I just threw out the black stick that was inside!!!
