Anyone use one of these pumps?

7m is no good for a trolley if you wanna use a reel with it

You will very quickly find that there is a lot of cheap rubbish out there that will not work for very long in our business. I would never even consider buying a pump like that for that price. I would rather purchase a well know pump in our industry, Shurflo. Flojet and Aquatec from a recognised wfp supplier for 6 or 7 times the price.

The pumps supplied by Vyair haven't got a good name with some users either.

One of the things you will find out is that when a cheap component fails it costs you money. If your pump stops you can't work, which at best will cost you a day's downtime. You just won't be able to afford wasting time and lost earning once you get a full customer base. A day of lost earnings is hard to recover and the cost is usually far more than the difference in price saving between the cheap component and the more expensive one.

We used to say in sales. "The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the joy of a low price is forgotten."

Shurflo 100 psi . Buy that and be pleased . One of the most Common and lots of power . I Got 9 steps on my flowcontroller and is really happy working on step 4 .

I'd also add that it's a good idea to buy spares of everything that can stop you working for a day or so. Pumps and controllers will pack up on you one day when you least expect it. I have an unused pump and controller on the shelf in my garage for such an event.

ive spare controller in van cab and now only one spare pump

one pump failed in december it took 10 mins to swap it out where i am itl take 3-5 days to get another one so be prepared

last week was a bad week for equipment

pole hose snapped in the middle *****

rectus fitting broke

hose connections worn out

we 3way push fittin at top of pole gave way

but got spares so no downtime but by fcuk wen u r in the middle of a house and have to stop to fix the hose u look a right **** wen they sitting watchin ya lol all whilst holding a big ***** in lol

We use the 5.2LPM. I have a 3.8 LPM and a 5.2 LPM pump on the van (2 man setup.) The 3.8lpm pump was purchased 10 years ago just as the first Varistream analogue controller went on sale. Pumping less water was a way of reducing the pump cycling - the other way was a by pass tap.

If you do want that little bit extra flow the 3.8 LPM is lacking. Nevertheless its been a very good pump over the years. My son loves using it as he prefers a lower flow.

Its listed on the website as a 5 liter pump. Its listed on the label as a 4.5 liter pump. I would tend to go with the label. In my books that's misrepresentation. That rules them out as a supplier for me unless they have something specific I want. That pump is probably fine for a trolley, but I wouldn't chance is longevity pushing water through 100 meters of hose.

Pure freedom, 12v 100psi 5.2lpm Shurflo Diaphragm Pump - Pumps - Pumps & Controllers. £55 +vat couldn't find one cheaper when I looked at the weekend for a replacement.

I used a similar one from eBay 4lpm 100 psi and it lasted over a year. It still works now but the flow has dropped. They are about 12 quid and I bought 4 of them. 1 is in my van mount 1 in trolley and 2 spare. There ls a lot of over priced stuff in this game. My flow controller was about 2 quid it's only a voltage regulator after all.

Hi,

We use pumps like this everyday and they work fine.

I keep a backup (heck for the price I should have got more), I also stuck a £2 flow controller on it and it's perfect.

A friend also uses them in his van setup and again no issues.
