Ionics vs Streamline vs Xline - which would you recommend?

We are looking to get a 650 litre window tank with hot water installed.
We would also like to install pressure washer system either built in or tank for standalone
Then you have your usual features like two man system, electric hose reels, etc

Which company would you guys recommend and why? What is your experiences of them?
We will be providing our van to them? any other companies worth speaking to? We want reliable equipment

I personally wouldn't buy of Streamline for a couple of reasons, equipment especially poles are not as good and price. Here is one example regarding price -

Thanks Ive reached out to Gripptank so lets see. We want someone to supply and install this but want a reliable system. Would be good to hear everyone's views.

Check out Purefreedom, I’ve had my system for nearly 4 years and it’s been perfect and very reliable they also do hot water heaters.

Ionic’s stuff is very good but they are expensive, we have 3 of there systems totally bulletproof, as @Iron Giant said pure o2 are part of Ionic’s and they used to price match other quotes there stuff is good quality. Grippatank’s stuff is ok system wise and boilers but would avoid their reels but customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Pure freedoms stuff was ok when it was owned by them no idea what they are like now they have been taken over . No experience with x line although there stuff looks nice .

we have had/have about 15 systems over the years,

Streamline IMO offer the best in terms of value when you account for customer care.

Xline we have experience with, we dont use them for anything other than consumables now.

I bought a 500L tank from X-Line and had them install it. Delivery system only. The gear is served me well but I don’t believe their systems are crash tested.

Sales and installation was simple. My only gripe with them is they are an absolute nightmare to get hold of if you need help with anything.

Crash tested is good but it’s not the be all and end all. The testing is only done to 30mph. Professionally fitted systems are likely very safe. For some it may just mean they’ve never bothered to get certified? I could be wrong on that. As long as you’re not ratcheting a tank into a van you’re at least doing something. All of my vans have crash tested systems, worth noting that ionics are willing to price match others such as xline even though they only sell crash tested.

Sure. As I said, I have an X-Line tank and I’m happy with it. Just thought it’s worth mentioning it’s not crash tested for those who are concerned about it.

I also believe their tank has a big footprint. Floor space in a van is always at a premium.
True, but not by a huge margin. The battery fits snuggly in/on the tank which I like. As I don’t have any of the filters, I use all the cutouts/indentations as storage for my bits n bobs, so you can use the space that way.

Having said that, I wouldn’t buy another one.

Had a full van system installed by them costing several thousand. Knowing what i know now i wish i spent that money with pure freedom!

They made silly mistakes on my install which i didnt realise until i started using after a few weeks/months.

The most infuriating thing that annoys me to this day is the 5kw webasto hot water unit they installed. Ive had it nearly 5 years now (may 2020 install) i have probably had about 18 months - 2 years use out of it.

They never gave proper advice on the unit, all he said was ‘make sure the coolant is about half way’. They said frost stat is on there to stop it freezing overnight, but at the time i lived in a flat where i just couldnt plug in overnight to keep the batterys from going flat. So once we got a cold snap, along came a whole host of problems.
They provide these cheap AGM 110ah batterys that dont give enough power, ideally you want lithium if you have hot water with a decent b2b charger 30/50amp victron for example. I was horrified to see they put one of the cheapest split relays you can think of in there, even the back protective plate was missing! I looked on google and saw it was like £15-£20!

Back to the hot water unit. Ive had the system break down another two times simply because the vertical flexi hose beside the heatsink had burst (due to i assume icy weather) these leaks has damaged the electrics in the webasto thermo top evo.

I have spent over £1200 from engineers fixing it, just for it to breakdown again cos of the stupid cheap flexi hoses they install. I dont understand for that expensive price why copper piping isnt installed to eliminate these problems. No water should be leaking or getting into these units no matter the weather, even with frost stat off!

There was other things with the van install i wasnt happy with but again you dont realise until you start using it after weeks/months that something isnt right. Rubbish customer service and after care.

I have since ripped the whole system out (apart from hot water unit) and put in a pure freedom all in one 500L cage and tank with reelmaster on top. It works a treat. I really want the pure freedom hot water unit, which will attach nicely to the tank cage. Ive also recently upgraded to a 280ah lithium battery which is the ferrari of the leisure batt world.
But whilst my xline heater is still broken due to last flexi hose leak i had, i will try to clean up the pcb and hope that will work, but i personally think its a gonner. I ordered a replacement pcb for my model furnace but surprise surprise didnt work, and i cant find them anywhere else.

So its a very lengthy way of saying i wouldnt touch xline again with a barge pole! Its a glorified boys club. They cheap out when they can and hope you dont notice.

My wife’s brother also has a system installed by them earlier than me, he was always goin making the 5 hour journey gettin them to fix stuff in his van.

I'm sorry you have had these issues. @Green Pro Clean Ltd was a member on here at one time before he moved away to Indonesia (I think) and he also had a bad experience dealing with them.

When they first started up, their tanks, being orange with black accessories, looked the business. But again, looks don't make up for poor after sales service and customer care.

I have never dealt with X-Line so, have never experienced any poor after sales service first hand. I'm just listening to other's experiences.
