G'day to our down under squeegee warriors.

As it becomes more apparent that I will be on the move in the next twelve months to the Philippines the one thing that dawns on me is that I am actually going to miss window cleaning quite passionately.

I have spent the past two days doing quite a lot of research in to the ex-pat neighborhoods surrounding the area where my home is and many are large gated communities of luxury (£1 - £3 mil UK) homes owned by Europeans, Ausssies, Canadians, Yanks, Kiwis, South Africans, Mid Easterners and affluent locals.

However a hard as I have tried I can find no actual window cleaning operation as we know it in 'western' society. They have the typical domestic maid services and show 'glass cleaning' using spray bottles and rags but no 'pro' window cleaning. And the more I look the more I see a market opportunity on a plate. After all for the affluent in these areas it is all about the services you can buy.

So here in Blighty, I have become accustomed to WFP but wonder if that will 'cut the mustard' in SE Asia. Not too worried if it does or doesn't as I am a dab hand on the squeegee anyhow and was thinking the key may be to go 'Ausssie style' and do a once or twice yearly service like you lads as the house styles are so similar.

What advice can you offer from south of the equator and if possible (and you fancy it) any chance of showing us poms a step by step with photos of how you do it down there?

Cheers lads.

No help offered. However I have read a lot of posts on hear before I took the leap to wfp and total self employment. Your posts and replys came up a lot. Made me laugh and motivated me, From your early posts to more recent ones. You seam a very motivated man.

If you see an opportunity give it a go. Post regular updates. I for one would look forward to them.

Talking of nice houses with servants............

Surely the servants in these well to do homes would clean the windows.

In South Africa wfp is mainly in shopping centers as domestic servants do all that sort of work in residential homes. There was one chap on the other forum (disappeared when he got all the info he wanted) who apparently got a contract to clean numerous houses (bungalows) within a guarded security complex in Jo'burg, but these are few and far between.

If you don't know how to clean your own windows then it is a shame. Nevertheless, you can get in touch with NZ cleaning window services and get all your work done. They are everything you need and want.

Wow really? Well helpful. I will call a NZ based company for window cleaning in the Philippines, shouldn't cost to much once we factor in airfares hotels etc etc.

As for knowing how to clean windows? Yeah OK.

Welcome to the forum by the way!
