G'day to our down under squeegee warriors.
As it becomes more apparent that I will be on the move in the next twelve months to the Philippines the one thing that dawns on me is that I am actually going to miss window cleaning quite passionately.
I have spent the past two days doing quite a lot of research in to the ex-pat neighborhoods surrounding the area where my home is and many are large gated communities of luxury (£1 - £3 mil UK) homes owned by Europeans, Ausssies, Canadians, Yanks, Kiwis, South Africans, Mid Easterners and affluent locals.
However a hard as I have tried I can find no actual window cleaning operation as we know it in 'western' society. They have the typical domestic maid services and show 'glass cleaning' using spray bottles and rags but no 'pro' window cleaning. And the more I look the more I see a market opportunity on a plate. After all for the affluent in these areas it is all about the services you can buy.
So here in Blighty, I have become accustomed to WFP but wonder if that will 'cut the mustard' in SE Asia. Not too worried if it does or doesn't as I am a dab hand on the squeegee anyhow and was thinking the key may be to go 'Ausssie style' and do a once or twice yearly service like you lads as the house styles are so similar.
What advice can you offer from south of the equator and if possible (and you fancy it) any chance of showing us poms a step by step with photos of how you do it down there?
Cheers lads.
