just bought 1000l ibc tank my plan is to fit it in my van just thought its not baffled

did see some where you can baffle it yourself with balls whats your thoughts guys

BALLS! :DAlso how are you going to secure it so it wont crush you to death if/when it should ever comes smashing through the bulkhead in a prang?

I think it would cost too much (£675!!) as you probably need the smaller version to get them in the IBCs usually smaller inlet.

I'm aware of an x member on here used kids soft play balls that he just used a soldering iron to put holes in each ball. Can't say from first hand experience if it would work that well to be honest but might be worth a shot.

You would defo need a lot of balls to fill a 1000 ltr ibc for sure:D

would it be dangerous just having it strapped down

i remember that with the balls

the tanks what wintecs are selling will they be baffled the flat 1000l

Definitely. Going beyond 400L you should have it framed/caged & bolted to the van itself (not just floorboards)

Tanks for sale will say if they're baffled or not & they are if you can see 2-3 large "holes" in the picture

You could get away with just strapping down an ibc but I would not like over a ton in weight on ever at a prang at 30mph would turn that into a 4 ton missile if the straps did not hold. Those anchor points in vans I dont think would be man enough to stop something that heavy from moving in a crash.
