Depends on what you need it for and how quickly you need it to produce water.

Is it a static setup, or is it to be part of a van mount?

What water pressure do you have?

What water flow do you have from your tap in liters per minute?

You will find that most van mounted systems use a 4040 as it's the fastest r/o for refilling the tank. I've seen a few small ones use 4021's, but not many.

A 4040 is a 4040. They7 are all similar. Its the membrane that counts.

For me its an HF5 Axeon with 20" prefilters. A long life Fiberdyne carbon block is also important. See www.daqua.co.uk

They will make up a system to your requirements.
