Changing resin in vessel

I watched a YouTube video about changing resin that said after putting in the resin to fill it with pure water. I haven't got any pure water hence the reason for changing the resin so will tap water do?

If your just DI only Bobd then that’s the only option you have!!

I just use tap water. If you can keep the old resin and get a second DI and double DI it. Will make your new resin last longer.
