Conservatory roof cleaning

All right lads, I gave my conservatory roof/gutters a clean with my wfp trolley system for the first time, i got decent results using plain tap water, then did the windows at the end with pure. /emoticons/smile.png

The edges of the roof where more algae and grime had bult up are still off colour and a bit grey, whats the best thing to do to restore these area?

And would it pay to put something in the water ?

I used my gardiner sill brush as its the only one i have, is there a brush you would also recommend i got, i plan to start offering it as a service to my regulars.

Its looks good at a distance/glance but as you can see in the close ups there is grey areas which wouldnt come perfect like the window frames. I have not tried anything on them yet, just seeking advice of the best option.

A good cream cleaner & elbow grease should restore discoloured plastic back to white also magic sponges work quite well too.

Some like to pre spary virosol, ubik 2000, tfr or just dish soap like ecover first when doing conservatory roofs as helps cut through the build up of dirt etc on the frames but most of the time will not get badly discoloured plastic back to white.

I did try the magic sponge on some grey a few month back just to see if it would work on there but didnt do much, however i tried it dry, so wet with cream cleaner is whati will try now (once it stops raining)

Magic sponges don't work if they are dry so you need to wet them. To apply cream cleaners or chems by hand I tend to use none scratch pads but even a damp microfibre cloth works too.

Hypochlorite will clean it no problem if it's algae

Well its discoloured grey plastic where algae used to be, will hypochlorite restore it to white u reckon?

hypo does work but can also damage rubber seals if not careful
