Hi all

I had an idea of using a 20 inch DI vessel to use in my van so I mounted it on my tank to create space. I have filled the cartridge with resin, screwed it into the housing and then turned the water from my tank on. Water going into it is 37 ppm and it’s exactly the same coming out of the DI !!!!!

Has anybody had any experience of these DI’s please??

Many thanks

In the top should should be a white or black o ring. This may be missing
The O ring is in there, from my understanding, the water flows into the housing between the cartridge, then the water flows up through the cartridge, passes through the resin and out of the outlet but it seems to bypass the resin and comes out with the same PPM as it going into it. It must be something simple but what.

Could be but I will have to check, we all make mistakes

It’s not softening resin, just checked. How about the foam rings inside the cartridge? I’m guessing they are to stop the resin from escaping

Doesn't it take a little while for the resin to settle and do it's job? From what I understand filling it with pure when changing resin speeds up the process.

It should work instantly, I reverted back to my old DI bottle and filled it with new resin and come out at 000PM. I going to go up to cleaning spot sometime and get some advice.
