my tap water tds is not that high so I use a 25 ltr di vessel.i know its a stupid question!!would it be more economical using" one" 11 ltr di,or two 11 ltr di vessels connected. as apposed to the 25 ltr vessel I use at the moment.with all the talk about tulsion resin,doug suggests it could be my di vessel at fault.whats the difference with the ones he sells?

You might use less resin (last longer) with 2 11 ltr vessels as the first one would do most of the work leaving the 2nd to polish it further to 0ppm. So just change out the first one more so. Might be wrong but thats how I would do it if I used just DI.

The problem with that vessel is it is too wide. The distribution will not spray the whole of your resin so a large portion will not be used.

thanks doug,ive just looked on your site.your vessels have Pentair heads & riser tube.im going to back track & maybe go for one of your 11 ltr vessels or the 15 ltr,any dicounts?

A very well respected member of another forum with a descent sized operation bought some and ended up sending them back. They were no more economical than a normal DI vessel- infact they were less economical when you add the cost of the resin bags is considerably more expensive than normal resin. He also found the resin bags a bit of a gimmick also. From what I've gathered they are more of a gimmick than a true step forward in innovation.

The resin backs are a gimmick but you don't have to use them

The design is already out there but Unger have spec it all wrong to get the best out of resin.

I've been impressed with the performance of these vessels which we have sold a few to Nationals and I have one at home to clean my windows at 135 ppm. The resin seems to be all exhausted. I have another project on the go but will not be ready until next year.

Do you mean the 'Spectrum' vessels......think they work on the same principle as the Unger vessel ie...the water travels 'evenly' UP-through the resin, as opposed to a standard vessel where the water travels DOWN-through the resin thus creating channels.
