My youngest three kids love it when I let them come to work with me. Today was my youngest daughters turn. I went out first thing and banged all my work out and then picked her up for the last two jobs.

She's too small to do much but she enjoyed herself and was over the moon when I gave her her wages.

Anyone else let their kids tag along?

When my lad is in his teens I'll bring him out with me to earn some pocket money, but at 5 years old and 1yo I would have to spend a while working on their trad technique.

My son used to come with me occasionally til one day. We were having lunch in the van. Glove box open with his glass of coke on it. He managed to knock it over and into the glove box over my paperwork and cheques I had collected. Then he reached over the seats into the back of the van to get a cloth to mop it up and kicked over the bottle of coke that was in the footwell and soaked all the scrims that were down there having a warm up. That was 8 years ago. He's now 22 and we ain't spoke since lol
