So new SLX 18 arrived with the new DuPont brush. 

Just tried out on my Windows and the DuPont seems very good for maintenance cleans but I don't think I'll be using it on first cleans or one offs.

Should have got the 18 ages ago - it's really light and feels good.

Do you find an 18 is big enough? I currently use a 28’ and that’s still too small for some 3 storey dorma’s and sky lights. I’m in the market for a new pole this summer and I’ve been thinking either an slx/extreme 22 plus two extensions. Love the idea of extensions as you can have a good size pole for most jobs then be able to strip some weight if need be. I do a lot of awkward, hard to reach windows so I really don’t think an 18 would cut it for me.

I use 18 for 95% of work but have a 30 for when i need it it never far in the van

Sometimes a decent gooseneck will help to get the awkward windows rather than getting a bigger pole. Especially those that are set back in the roof.

Must be small houses in your area. My 28 just about reaches most 3 story town houses and my 45 struggles on a couple of jobs. Without that my 4 story commercials would be out of the question.

A 22ft pole is ideal, Although I am only 5ft so need 2 extensions for townhouses and on some new builds I am going to have to buy a #7 extension.

Longer, they do make it slightly harder to control in wind. I have the 25" one for some really awkward jobs that would be impossible to do without using ladders
