Most of the equipment can be easily sourced and over a weekend you can put a system together if you're DIY minded. And if you are on a tight budget or unsure and don't want to make a big investment you can dip your toe to see if it is for you.Over time you can replace the equipment to suit your needs.

You can replace it as many times as you like if you pay the money,I would think like most things, pump last a couple of years, poles a year, brushes and adaptors a year,All depends how much you use the equipment and how heavy handed you are.

It looks like a translator from another language into English as the grammar is not brilliant...

Nearlyclean,

What does the the Reach2Wash/£121 link refer to?

Must be me being a Numpty!

this is what ive done diy harris pole with brush 35 pound ,200gpd ro unit and di cartridge with resin tds meter and 20m of hose 190 pound from pure freedom second hand backpack 50 quid 6 20 litre barrels scrounged from a hygiene company down the docks total 275 quid. or you can get 5 20 liter barrels off ebay for 28 quid delivered. (sorry i have to spell pound the button on my laptop doesnt work) if i bought a new back pack it would of been about the same as yours

i suppose you could if the pump was powerful enough. ive been thinking about stripping the pump and battery out of mine and using it to make a trolley im fed up of tipping barrels into it every 10 minutes.

Yeh I also thought that it would be simple there is nothing to them mine are wcw ones and are really basic bit the pump seems quite good

i think theyve got a 70 psi pump the only downfall to keeping the pump attached to the back pack is that i bet a 100m of hose would probally hold 20 litres of water before it starts coming out the other end lol

Was the Harris pole fitted with a DIY brush also or did you buy a pro brush?

I think the reach 2 wash is a back pack but you can buy back packs from most window cleaning Stockists for under 200 pound, it was just an example that you can get going with wfp with little out lay and then as you build up work invest in better gear like purpose made pole or a van mount.

Yes, a proper brush- Viken,Gardiners etc and not a Tesco's brush with a couple of holes/pencil jets in or do most people just start off with Tesco's brushes?

Cheers Nearlyclean for clarification of the link.Backpack would be the only way I could start, but worried that the Harris pole might be too short- anyone made a 27/30 ft DIY pole at all??

yer its a great idea like you said you can have a wfp set up for about the same price as a half decent trad set up
