Ive just bought myself a Vauxhall Combo

Ill get a 450/500ltr tank to put in it.

What other equipment will i need?

I dont want to make water in my van as im planning on doing that at home.

I know ill need a hose and reel i have my pole and brush.

What pumps valve etc etc will i need?

Check the payload of your van, 400/500 may be too heavy for the van. A 350 is usually better for smaller vans. A pump and controller is all you’ll need on top of what you’ve already mentioned

Gardiners sell aquatech pumps they are very good , all you need then is a controller , and some hose and a few fittings , give Gardiners a ring if unsure they will talk you through it and tell you what you will need , hope it goes ok

Any excuse to phone Emma at Gardiners ??

You can use gutter down pipe attached inside the roof of van for holding your pole, cheap and easy to install that’s what I had in my connect.

Don’t forget a fitting to go into the tank when you order that as well , it’s always useful to have a tap on the tank outlet so you can isolate the water supply from the tank for maintenance

a vauxhall combo is not suitable for a 500l tank and frame ....the payload is too low unless its a brand new one with a 1000kg payload....most of them are 750kg,a lot of the older ones are only 595kg...you should have checked this out before buying IMO.......if its the lower payload model then a 350L is all you can get away with to stay legal on the road.....

Its the 750kg one, so i can get the 400ltr tank in amd still leaves me 330/340 kg of weight limit.

Cpl poles, few brushes, pump, hose reel, 100mt hose, step ladder, Atom Vac and gennie will easily be under weight.

i very much doubt youll get a gennie and a vac in there as well...if you do itll be tight!.......?

The 400l tanks are a strange shape, the upright probably won’t fit against the bulkhead, and the flats make it feel like you are driving a boat, and they’re a pain for airlocks

I have a 64 plate Vauxhall Combo/Fiat Doblo and in this old photo is my 350ltr upright tank and what I have in there is just room enough for what I need, I have a 22ft Xtreme against the tank, but it wouldn't be possible to fit on a pole rack attached to the inside of the roof without removing the brush and angle adaptor.

The second pic is with my newer reel and the reel is almost up against the battery tray, an empty van can look more roomy than it is until you start putting stuff in and you want to keep it as tidy and as use able as possible.

Remember to put your own weight and petrol into the equation ?

Excuse my ignorance but is that hose running through the bottom of the van?

Is that common

Is that easy to do?

Looks like a **** ton of space left in there to utilse space efficently, pretty sure id get my Atom, trad gear and backpack in there easily.

I have Vauxhall combo and it’s the highest payload for a small van 1000kg, more than the transit connect, Berlingo size vans.

you can fit a 44’ pole plus lots of other equipment.

I have the Fiat Doblo swb(66 plate) & I do fit an Extreme-22 on a pole rack attached to the inside of the roof. The pole needs to be placed on the far right hand side (where the bulkhead curves inwards) and it will just fit. NB: I use tubeless which makes pole storage in the van much easier.

750kg weight limit
I wouldn’t be putting a 500l time you have a battery, frame ,pump weight of the empty tank etc that’s another 100kg the n another 30kg for fuel then whatever your body weight is plus poles etc soon mounts up.
