I would just like to know what the average price is to fit a system into a van?

I've got the system already, I called someone up and was quoted almost £500, is that right?

All depends on what they are doing. i.e. it could be a simple bolt tank in, or bolt tank in, plumb in RO system, controllers , pump, booster, fill, waste, and pure hoses, install split charge system etc.
Also depends on if they are supplying parts?

If it's for just bolting in a tank then that's expensive.

I have a compact system from WCW, it comes with everything including the bolts, it only needs to be bolted to the underneath of the van, I explained that and they said it'll still take a full day @ £500

Is that just to bolt it in or do all the electrical as well ? I think most places would probably allow a day although it shouldn’t take that long to fit a normal cold system and guessing £500 is there day rate .

Yeah I need it fully installed

Fair enough, I was just thinking that's a heck of a price, but what do I know, I never fit them, probably idiot in me thinking that's an expensive drill

What involved in fitting it ?

Ive always fitted my own, an hour or so with a drill and some bolts.

But it depends where you need to drill, if the fuel tank has to be dropped etc. Still not too hard, jack under fuel tank, loosen bolts off usually gets you enough access.

I think PureFreedom told me it would cost around £300 to have my system swapped into a new van when i had mine fitted not long ago.

I also know of a couple of mobile companies that charge a flat rate of around £300 to fit systems too, I haven't heard great things about them though so I wouldn't name them.

There's one mobile guy on Facebook called Chris Kelly Brooke who is quite reputable that offers a mobile fitting service that may be worth a try though

It all depends what is underneath your vehicle as WCW systems have fixed points so you cannot move them around.

I had to take a WCW system to change the filter.

The fitter must have had some tool as the floor was threaded no bolt underneath. So pretty easy to take out.

If you have a false floor in your van then yes will be time consuming.
