I actually find a swivel beneficial for conny roofs. You can get right into the upper corners where the roof bars all meet.

even though they need modifying to work well, the Gardiners quick loq system is the best available in my opinion. Though, if they aren't made a bit better soon, someone is bound to come up with a better alternative.

Most of the Quick Loq fittings I have don't fit together very well 'out of the box'. They are all too tight to be a quick and easy click off, click on system. So, I have had to modify most of them to make them into a "Quick" Loq instead of a "Pain In The Behind, struggle, twist, pull and Thump" Loq.

The male fittings I have had to file down a bit, usually by using a grinding wheel on a drill and/or hand file. The female fittings I have had to ream out a bit with a rotary burr tool tool like the ones you get on Dremel and other drill type craft tools.

I wonder if Gardiners have rectified this problem? I recently converted all my gear over to QL & they all work effortlessly.:thumbsup:
