Hey all. So my number 4 smart clamp collar has sheared in half leaving the glued part nicely still attached. Sooooooo anyone got a genius method to get it off or is it just a case of careful use of a Stanley blade? Obviously don't wanna split the pole.

I have seen people carefully use a junior hacksaw to cut through the clamp to create a slot maybe 2 on opposite sides. Then use a screwdriver to twist open the slot and break the glue.

I would guess safest method would be to cut the glued clam off and lose 20mm of pole length.

I've tried removing a clamp and made a right pig's ear of it. My friend has a phantom and the clamps are brilliant. I also noticed when you take the base cap off it has a plastic insert in the bottom of the section to give it extra strength. Very clever design.
