Gardiners slx gooseneck mystery?

    Not long had a slx 22, don't like carbon goosenecks but sometimes use them on awkward "over conservatory bedroom windows", so yesterday I thought I'd put one on that normally I use on a slx 18 so I pulled out the resi neck and tried to insert the gooseneck and it doesn't fit, yet it fits the slx 18 which accepts the same resi necks:rolleyes:

    Carbon goose necks are narrower than plastic resi necks, so I can't see why it won't fit :confused:

    dunno why i wouldnt fit but why dont you try the long arm resi neck
