Personally, I prefer a flocked or softer bristled brush for a first clean. I find the stiff bristles best for hot water work. When used on cold and first cleans, the stiff bristles can tend to bounce across the glass surface more than I like.

I've got a hot water system. I've got 4 of your brushes both sill brushes medium and stiff, and mixed medium and stiff! but would the stiff brushes with hot water be good enough for very dirty first cleans as theres no flocked stiff?

If you're using hot water they would be fine.
