Please don't listen to the people saying you can botch a repair get a new ladder no one on here is going pay your bills when your in hospital and like stated above will probably void your insurance.

I agree, but you can get by temporarily until you sort yourself out a new set. it's only the very bottom rung that gets damaged, and you can actually work without it anyway.
