Help required lead oxidation?

So cleaned three glass roofs today. one is a lean to conservatory, with thick lead flasding onto the glass. I think this is what is causing the huge gray ish runs down the panes? Can these be removed?. If yes can the lead be treated to stop this happening? Customer is thinking of a clear sealer used to water proof ponds.
