Hi all, I am After a new invoicing system for my business

I am thinking of getting business cards with your windows have been cleaned, along with details of next clean, banking details and other services

Then an A6 leaflet invoice for my other services

Then another A6 leaflet for canvassing

Is this a bit over the top? I am wondering what you do?

Hi Maund,

I have recently switched from Joist to Wave for invoice and account management, Wave is free with payable ad-ons and I have been really impressed with it so far.

I double side print my "windows cleaned" slips, which have the typical info such as amount, date, bank details etc. Don't see the point in getting them done professionally as they get binned by the customer.

I just use an A5 flier for canvassing, however, I ordered 5,000 of them 2 years ago and am not even half way through as business picked up more rapidly than expected.

Hope this helps,

Dale

I do my invoices / receipt slips in one - A6 size but what i do is print them off on A4 designed as a folding booklet.

What I do is to design it in word as A4, do a double sided doc - on the reverse i have details about the pure water, not staining etc, then on the front is my lines for writing the invoice / receipt plus a total box.

When i print I select 4 pages on one page (might be scale 4 pages to one can't remember), then in the pages box, i select pages 1,2,1,2,2,1,2,1 or something like that.. so there's 4 pages on the first side and then the duplex'd 4 on the reverse. Cut them in half and then FOLD them - so that the front page is on top AND bottom perfectly matching. A piece of carbon paper between them then gives me an identical copy when writing it (and scribbling out invoice / receipt so the appropriate one shows) and it's just a quick matter of tearing it off, putting in an envelope and then putting through the custys door. Job done. Doing this also saves on having proper carbon paper invoice / receipt books printed (they're not cheap).

I did the same for my rooftop disclaimer too.

I only do a few invoices as dont have many commercial, just a couple of shops and an estate agent so I just use this cheap invoice book thing. dont bother with the copy.

The ones I need to put a note in to say ive been, I just write it out on note pad and stick in the door, only takes me half a min.

For canvassing I just ordered some new flyers today, A6 size. used company called 360. £20 for 4000, that includes delivery. Half the price of vistaprint.

Wave just pretty much dumped the UK market after getting bought out.
