hose type

im new to all this, can you please tell me if it has to be a specific type/size of hose. for example can garden hose be connected to my pole hose? and to th backpack?

You can use any size hose you want to. But if you have a backpack you will find that the length of pole hose you have with your pole is probably long enough. My son uses this length of hose that his SLX25 comes with and he says that that's more than enough.

You need to keep your equipment as light as possible. Using 1/2" garden hose full of water is heavy. We know as we used 1/2" garden hose before minibore and microbore hose was available for wfp van mounts.
