Hi all I’m new to the group and from Ayrshire sunny Scotland (is there anyone using a hot water system? ) Fed up not working in the frosty weather

I started a round 4 year ago i roughly have 1000 customers which I do traditional and use a wfp (cold water system 350 ltr tank) but looking to move to 500ltr tank and heater for hot water also need to travel to Grimsby to get it fitted which is a 11 hour round trip also the system is very expensive for a 2 man set up and was wondering if it’s worth all that expense for hot water…………….or is it worth it all day long just to keep your hands warm in the colder days lol

I just had a hot water system fitted by pure freedom fitted last week 500 litre tank 2 reel masters and a 9kw diesel heater, I used it for the first time today, and my word it was great, no use for Chemical on a conservatory roof clean, and cleaned the frames so much easier than with cold, the boiler does sound like a very small jet engine when its running, but Im getting used to it, I really enjoyed having warm hands, im just not sure exactly how much extra fuel I will be using though, but will find out, all in all I'm glad I had it fitted, as I tried the squeaky clean dave aproch imersion hearer last year and due to not having a drive I can't plug in easily, I got this equipment for my own comfort, better quality clean and take the fear of frozen hoses away..

Did you get the hot water recirculation as well? If you didn't I'd advise to get that as well, saves having to put radiators in when it's freezing cold at night

From experience it uses around 1:25 ltr of diesel per hour

Going hot is the best thing I’ve ever done used cheep gas heaters for years but moved on to diesel hester and it’s well worth the investment there not cheep I payed 6k for mine fitted the water is piping hot all day one bit of advice I can give it go with your local supplier as if or when it goes wrong it’s not far to go to get it fixed so far I’ve only had one issue with mine temperature gage stopped working apart from that been spot on

This is one of the lashing points I took out of my old 64-plate Vauxhall combo/fiat Doblo I'd have thought all the older vans were the same, yet van manufacturers used to put out advertisements about fitting a pallet in the back of vans and gave the vans a decent payload, it's just an accident waiting to happen whatever is in the back of a van.

I think this is in the wrong thread 😂

Hot water is more than worth it all year round it the way to go I think in 10 to 15 years it will be an industry standard same as the electric reel are becoming I have a 5kw and it uses in a week about 7lts on normal running time if you are technically minded you can build an heater your self for about 2k with premium parts as I have

Any pictures of your heater? Always good to see how people accomplish it in different ways and what novel things people do, like back to tank. bleed offs etc.
