Hello,

What temperature water are you washing glass or fascias with?

Are you using 8mm reinforced hose?

Why do i ask? We are putting in a new system. New hose got really soft. Problems getting the powered reels to pull the hose through the rollers.

Cheers

We use normal 6 mm yellow microbore water temperature will vary depending how much hose you have out , ground temperature, flow rate , etc but our hoses are that hot you cannot hold them when reeling in , cold hoses reel in easier ,most manufacturers using wabasto heaters recommend 6 mm hose not 8 mm . As a rough guide temperature is 50-80 degrees. We use floor rollers and have pure freedom twin stack reels in one van and waterworks 3D reels in all the others , don’t have any problems reeling the hose in .

What batteries are you using ?? And are they fully charged using a smart charger ? The muinit batteries start to fail this will dramatically affect the speed and ability of the reels to work efficiently

Most of the reels I have seen say they recommend 6mm hose. Does the manufacturer of the reels you are using say it's ok with 8mm?
We run 8mm on our PF Twin Stack and 6mm on 2 PF Reel Masters. Personally think the flow is much better from the 8mm and use this on our travels, which is 3 / 6 monthly washes.
The 6mm is much quicker to reel in though, especially through thick grass.

The manufacturer is happy to put 6mm or 8mm on the reels.
If we put 6mm on we will loose water flow rate - but the temperature might cause the pipe to swell which would increase flow.

What's happening is that the pipe is getting soft with the heat.
Then when we wind in, it is getting pinched in the rollers and getting stuck in the rollers.
The rollers are not the best and they are working to make a better set.
The reels do have the power to pull in the hose, albeit it is more difficult when the hose is coming in at 90 degree angle to the rollers.
I am thinking if the water temp is in the 50-60 degrees region it would be fine.

The system is new, they cycled boiling hot water through it for a long time and i think the pipe is now deformed with the heat.

Thank you all for the comments on this.
