How do I remove pole hose from brush

WCF

Help Support WCF:

It's extremely battered but there is a collar that needs pressing in to remove the red insert from the T connector.

Rather than pull it, you should push it back in hard then hold the collar in so it stays in while you pull the red insert out.

I don't know why it has an insert really, the hose can just go directly into the T connector without it.

As it's so bashed up you may have difficulty pushing the collar in though.

I have attached the pole hose to the brush to make sure it was the right fitting (new to wfp) and it won't come out. I brought the brush second hand on eBay so didn't come with instructions.

Thanks

It's a Gardiner's brush (so the listing said)

And it's a Gardiner's pole hose

If you are having difficulties removing then a large flat blade screwdriver inserted between the red stem shoulder & the black collar gently twisted will separate them.

Must admit where I have used those JG hosetails I have removed the shoulder with a dremmel as they make it dificult to press down the black collar on the JG connector like this tubeless_01.jpg

However, I use the black ones now as they I found the red ones broke too often. At least as used in the picture

I'd just replace that T connection for a new one as it is in such bad condition. A new one will cost very little and save you lots of has hassle tbh.

It's just to get me out there, I didnt have enough for all new and to get it now would cost £6 delivery plus whatever it is for the t part.. I'm working with no budget and saving up for a proper pole from Gardiner's so will have to do until then I suppose.

Thanks for everyone's help
