How do you recommend that i get up here?

I use an optiloc pole with the optiloc tip which secureley clips into unger handles

the Unger tips fit unger squeegees perfectly- the Germans know what theyre doing . but unger tip doesnt fit wagtail properly . the worst fitting pole tip i know of is the Ettore .

Ettore professional gold poles are meant to be the best in the business for trad and from a distance they really do look the part - everybody loves gold dont they - but i had one myself and felt very let down by it -it was heavy in use and the clamps cumbersome to work . pole tip badly made too

i wanted my Ettore gold trad pole to live up to its reputation,made in the USA , exotic, perhaps touched by a distant relative of mr. ettore the master squeegee man and all that jazz . however it was no good in my opinion , i sold it on, rather than see it lay about unloved in my shedView attachment 3019

i spose the best way is to find 1 make and stick with it , mix and match other makes ends in tears. im sure these ettore tools fit perfect on ettore gold poleView attachment 3020and would cut down that window in not time

Thing is gents is that it was a gutter clear, washdown and windows if it was just the windows i'm right with you on the free stander but being on the roof is far easier - i just wondered if anyone new of any new fangled ladder add on that would do the job- i'm guessing from the fact that no ones come up with one there isn't !

Just put ladders against it and walk up..lol

Ankalad is a very good safety device and stops ladder sliping back..especially climbing back onto it

it may be an optical illusion in that photo of the ankalad but isnt it the wrong angle ? looks 2:1

iv always been told the correct ladder angle is 4:1 ie- 1 metre out from the wall = 4 metres up the wall

You could try this Ian although, it doesn't look 100% safe to me, there could be better ways to secure it etc.

That' is why I use my gutter clearing ladder set up if need be and/or guttervac and wfp system too as I try to avoid tile walking as much as I can.

I also hate doing ogee gutters like the one in your pic as are a right pain in the arse to clear and clean.

However progutter tools do an ogee gutter tool that can make the job a bit easier to do as long as the gutter fixing brackets are on the outside unlike these ali extruded ones for example or plastic ones used often on conservatories.

Mind you it did seem to go on forever

Not only the gutters where full of slimy ***** every dowspout was blocked too so had to be cleared by hand hence why the ladders where used.

The outside did not look too bad afterwards by the time i finished either.
