That last one was funny, I've been cleaning window for over 30 years and I only meant to do it until I got a better job.
I've bought work when I first started, it's gutting, all work and no pay, for 3 months (anyone who says more than 3 times the worth are deluding themselves) as stated before, you get a list of names, you get introduced... Then people don't like your style, or they trusted the other window cleaner, but don't like you. then people die, move or just were looking for a good reason to stop.
Go out and canvas, it costs you nothing but time, time you obviously already have on your hands anyway!
