Hi,

I noticed some different opinions on here about washing microfibre cloths, so I contact one of the manufacturers – Paragon Microfibre, and asked them. About washing, detergents, softeners, tumbled drying etc.

Their reply was...

All Our Microfibre should be washed with half the amount of detergent you would use normally. They can be washed at high temps, but 40 deg C is adequate. They can be tumble dried but not too long at high temps as Microfibre is 'nylon' and can be damaged by high temps. It is not advisable to use softeners.
I hope this helps a few people.

Must admit I've been putting them in the tumble drier and washing machine... Lazy I know, still work fine. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Ive noticed the quality goes down hill if you tumble dry them, they seem to be less absorbant.

yeh seeing as i 0nly just found them was wondering how to wash them....they gone in the machine with the normal wash at the mo...scrims were banned as the wifey said they leave too much fluff over everything else.../emoticons/smile.png

i stick them in with my scrubber with no washing powder and it seems to be funky

I hang em all round the house..only tumble dry if I need some asap

they still stay absorbent but feel all stiff like scrim

Good post
