"Pure water car cleaning" I can see a market there especially from all the folk with fancy cars!! Has this been done, I don't think it has? /emoticons/biggrin.png

Seems to be done before lol but if I search under pure water car cleaning there is only a couple of large companies that show up. Page 1 has lots of unrelated stuff, potential there for sure.

I use pure water from the tank through the pressure washer to rinse cars because it saves having to dry them off. If I'm going to be polishing them I dry them with a towel.

@Chris33 In winter I would say one call a week. April to Sept anything from 2 to 6 calls a week on average. Think I've had half a dozen in the last week. I have a seperate site www.thompsonprovaleting.co.uk I pay 10 quid a month and at a guess it's probably worth 5k a year in enquiries. I don't do a lot of the jobs I'm offered as valeting is hard work and it's not as profitable as windows generally. A full valet could take 3 hours and at 70-80 quid I'd say I'm the most expensive in my area. Its still not enough though imo. Occasionally you'll get someone call who is an enthusiast and want machine polishing, clay bar and wax then I can charge a good rate.

The real money is in detailing but you really need a workshop to do it right.

Its kept me in work and provides a bit of variety. Its nice to get a bit of cash every so often rather than chasing non payers.

I'll continue to do it for a while buy just pick and choose. Turned down one today as it was an office in city centre, much easier working at someone's home with a mains supply.

Have seen the eastern Europeans drop a cloth on floor pick it and carried on polishing car .Wouldn't let them near my motor and its only worth a few grand .

Easten europeans work from 8am in the morning till 6pm for 50.00£ a day so I wouldn't expect any better service unfortunately..... .

Do you pay 10 pounds for seo optimised website or just for the website itself?

Sore subject for me this. We bought a 3 series bmw sport last year, cost us just under 19 grand. Last Thursday, my wife had it cleaned by eastern Europeans in a pull in car wash. It now has a nasty scratch on the near side front wing

My neighbour says he can polish it out, so he's having a crack at it this weekend. PITA
