I got one. Had it about 18 months now. I was lucky. The firm that sold em was very close to me so I met the bloke at tescos car park. Saved on p&p. ill try & dig out where it was.

I didn't know window cleaning forum had a search bar to look up old thread.

I been searching for a good hour, foot on ladder seem to have a mixed reviews. I think I will try it and see what it like.

ankalad ladder seem very popular with many on here. Have u try ankalad on ladder posh?

No. I find the foot the ladder is just as good although never tried the ankalad.

id think you could fabricate one that is made of aluminium and hinges up for when not needed , permanently fitted to a ladder

I guess you could mate but I think I will go for foot on ladder and see what it like.

the only safety device i have is spikes fitted .

the ground at the moment is particularly greasy , very high risk of ladder slip , if you work on your own id think the foot the ladder would stop slip-out

I brought a laddermate a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with it. It only takes seconds to fit it to the ladder. I used it yesterday on some slippy decking that you could hardly stand on. It certainly did the job.

I use ankalad as it stops sideways slip when leaning up the ladder as well as backwards slip

No one should be leaning out (over reaching) up a ladder but I know what you mean as is very temping at times./emoticons/biggrin.png

Watching that video made me nervous i all that leaning to the side. better off with a small A frame to do the downs. only takes one slip and it could be night night Josephine.

Also took him nearly 14 mins to do the front of that one which incedently would take me about 5 mins to do properly using a wfp. I would have done all the 3 fronts in the time it had taken him to do just one.

surely thats a purely for "show" vid. i say that because nobody with a full day would soap up 1 pane at a time -and guaranteed that ladder would be spinning if he sped up doing those lean out antics

I know it is...That's why I posted it as you can see he does no detailing only wipes the frames over.
