I feel like I've wasted money.

It works really well from a pole, especially using straight downwards actions (but so does a swivel unger).

But my god, just using it as a normal squeegee is annoying. Streaks everywhere. The only way to stop that is to apply a lot of pressure, which is tiring. I spent a good few hours on it earlier. Trying different angles, rubbers, techniques, but I just can't get to grips with it.

Anyone else still struggling with it?

It took me quite a long time and I was ready to chuck it away for first few years but now it's indispensable I find. Some jobs have the fliq in my holster for odd windows that need trad. Commercial work it's been godsend on the pole internally.

If it's a new one it should have the 2.0 end clips which were slightly redesigned and helped get rid of rainbow stripes. Are you coming from a brass or stainless channel and were you using it dog eared already?

When I received mine I had the same issue. I found the issue was the stupid blue rubber. Switched to 'normal' rubber and it was great. Try some of your other rubber.

I'm using the liquidator channel with the blue clips at the end that helps decrease the need for detailing. I haven't adjusted or modified anything.

I tried my normal rubber I use and whilst it was better, there was still streaks. Must be the pointy blue parts at the end of the channel.

Have you tried adding soap to your applicator and then scrubbing the glass with that so you have a 'thick' soap mix?

His videos are a lot of waffle and he does like himself but Polzn Bladz on youtube is the man responsible for the end clips - well he says he is. He has lots of advice but he does take a long time to get to the point. Might be worth checking out some of his vids.

I find it works best with normal black squeegee rubber, rather than the blue/green/red rubbers you can buy which I think have a little silicone in them. What size is it mate? I have had a little 10 inch one which I have had for years and it's brilliant for pole work. Only used on a couple of small jobs though. I found the 14 inch one the channel itself slightly arcs with pressure on it and leaves streaks or rainbows. I don't think the metal their channels are made of is particularly strong which doesn't help. Have you tried putting a regular channel like an unger s plus or similar? By the way don't bother cutting the rubber the same angled shape as the end clips. Makes no difference at all. Have a look at tradman's videos on youtube about moerman techniques.

Yeah, it's the 14inch!

I've tried the black rubber and it's a little better but still streaks. I could put a normal channel on but then that defeats the point of having the blue parts at the end that minimises detailing.

i gave him the idea ! i keep quiet about it becos its no good! he had been doin endless fanning vids but i noticed his sloppy action is rubbin/ marking the frame from the metal channel ends scraping along and i replied in the comments , look at that messed up frame fellah- you need plastic ends on that channel -next thing tips appeared

I've seen someone on facebook uses an excelerator handle with an Unger S Plus channel - I use these on regular handles - as they are kind of dog-eared at the ends and help minimise detailing. They are quite a light channel but not as light as moerman. Only my opinion but I like the design of most moerman tools but find the build quality isn't great.

I've never been a fan of dog eared squeegee channels either off the shelf or homemade. I feel they press the end of the rubber too hard against the glass therefore leaving streaks/ dry rubber marks usually only visible when looking from the inside in direct sunlight. The best results I got when experimenting with the liquidator was to use a soft black rubber with Unger green clips to hold it in place but it still wasn't great. Whatever your set up what you will need is to use a ridiculous amount of soap to get any kind of results. I still use it but with the end clips removed and the channel cut to the same angle as the end clips. I find used with the excellerator handle this gives minimal or no detailing depending on the frame but you don't need to use a silly amount of soap.

I agree. I only use mine to access a couple of windows over a thorny bush. If you did a number of windows it would leave alot of soap to clear up.

Thats the thing isn't it. The extra time taken adding all that soap to your applicator and cleaning it all off the sill and frame (particularly the dark ones) negates any time saved on the alleged no detailing. Couple that with in the summer you can only soap up one window at a time as your solution drys so quickly in the sun it actually took me longer when I was using it.
