Just been out to check my water. It’s reading 039 before d.i!

pre filters were changed 4 weeks ago and membranes 2 months ago.

Reading before d.i lately has been 009.

The reading after d.i lately has been 002 for quite a while, now all of a sudden I’m getting 039 before and 000 after! Very strange.

Just wondered, as my system is nearly 10 years old, do you think the online TDS Metre might be playing up? Seems unlikely I know.

I will check with my handheld one tonight.

Any thoughts or ideas about these strange readings?

Are you flushing regularly Steve? Sometimes mine takes longer to stabilise especially in the cold weather. I also get very random and fluctuating inlet TDS readings from the old cr&ppy pipework so a reading before RO might be a thought. Other than that - like you say - check it against your handheld meter. When I did swimming pool maintenance we calibrated ours every 6 months but found if we cleaned the probe head with a 5% hydrochloric Acid solution the calibration wasn’t needed.

That acid, is it the same as sodium hypochlorite?

My in-line TDS Metre said  000, handheld 002. Pulled the probe out of the inline Metre, wiped it with a cloth, now reads 001. Bonkers.

Ive flushed the whole system, 007 before d.i. Just pleading it stays that way ?

Any thing else you can suggest to clean the probes?
