Is it time for a new RO membrane?

Just been out to check on my water. It's at 66ppm coming out of the RO before the resin! Water out the tap is measuring 140ppm ish. Yep, that's bad and seems my RO is not working as it should! However my pressure is currently at 20psi! I'm sure the water company has dropped the pressure as it's been around 35psi since I started WFP! - Yeah I know that's still bad. Toying with the idea of getting a booster pump fitted but realistically how much would that knock the TDS down? Or do I just need a new membrane? The one I have is nearly 2 years old and I've looked after it (regular filter changes and flushes etc). However I think it's a HF4 but at those pressure levels a HF5 will work better right?

Update: Been back out, water from the tap has dropped to 90 (my TDS fluctuates WILDLY), TDS out of RO now @ 22ppi. However, I'm almost certain it's the pressure from my outside tap. Obviously RO membranes thrive on pressure and my outside tap is, embarrassingly one of those Screwfix self cutting DIY jobs. So first thing in the morning I'm getting onto a plumber and gonna try and get a proper tap fitted so hopefully that will increase the pressure then see how the RO performs then.

You need to find out what your water pressure is as well. You can buy a pressure test gauge from Screwfix.

An hf5 membrane will still under perform at pressures below 50psi.

For a booster pump to work your flow from your tap needs to be around 9lpm.

Changing that outside tap takeoff is a good start imho.

Thanks mate. Yeah first job is to get rid of that tap! I still don't think my pressure will hit 50psi though.
