I have been asked to clean a very large, old building next week. I will be using WFP, but does anyone have any advice that I need to be aware of before approaching this?

Some areas have stained glass, and also some of the windows are a strange shape.

Should I just approach this clean as normal?

Please see picture of part of it:

Thanks

You'll get a lot of run-off from those stone frames on to the glass. Once done, go round checking that they haven't dried spotty, which they tend to have the habit of doing with sand/stone frames.

Absolutely right. I'd explain to the customer that you'll get them as good as you can. That they are very unlikely to be perfectly clear after being done, for the reasons wezza said. I'd be very, very gentle. I would think most of these wìndows are likely to be original and extremely delicate, and expensive to replace. You might find that anything more than the gentlest brush pressure will cause them to bow inwards. They will probably return to flat once you remove the brush

I wouldn't scrub them, I'd only "tickle" them as I call it. I'd tell that to the customer too, in advance.

I'd make sure to check with your insurer that you're sufficiently covered, again in advance.

Sorry to lecture, but you're a fellow windy, and I don't want to see you in trouble. ?

This type of window is a pain , the ornate stone work can prevent the brush from getting into the corners , we did a converted church that had similar stonework and all leaded windows just go careful and don’t press to hard try and see inside before doing the job if you can to check  for potential water ingress around the edges , Ime sure it will come up very well . We are now viewed by the building firm as specialist cleaners ?????and go all over the country doing jobs for them like this , make sure you charge well .
