:DI'm not even going to ask as it is done now and we can all get on with our lives

Until i approach them with my new invention

Rugby try doing the clip tipsIt does make a big difference as you get no curl on the rubber and can turn sharper

Also i am using unger hard in all mine with no problems..it may be down to the clips being done
Yep will do, but I didn't want to alter anything until I was sure about it. Are you using a Wagtail or an ordinary squeegee?

You're right about the nylon ties ..they would just alter the shape of the rubber

The clip fix works well

Tolish had a good idea when he did it without the rubber in it

I have tried that and it is harder to get the rubber in but still not overly hard and it grips really well

Been using unger hard in them since Tuesday with no problems

Is this the thing where he nips the ends in a bit?

I have exactly the same problems as the original poster - both my channels were chucked in the van in disgust! £25 wasted.

Maybe I'll play with them again tomorrow and try a steeper angle. Pinching the ends made no difference.

I've had mine over a week now & after reading all this was a bit apprensive about getting them out.

So today I nipped the clips as seen & wet the window. First problem I had was fitting into my unger channel. It's a lot thicker then the normal one. So off I went with all my experience to clean the window. Couldn't budge it. Ok try again. Some 10 to 12 cleaning of this window I got it to pretty good but nowhere as good as my modded channel which is now back in by the way.

So first impressions not to good but I will persevere & hopefully get better. Will not be unleashing on customers yet.

to get the moerman channel sitting at the Exact same rubber angle as the View attachment 4096 original channel rubber ,i found have to trim about 1 mm off the top edge of blue plastic disc. i used a stanley knife to pare it with .

Bloody hell looks to me like maybe the channel is bent?I was ordering these today are they really that bad
No stevie there not really that bad as you say maybe a bent channel but if dave the window cleaner emails moerman like polzn bladz has mentioned to him they will replace it .

I still say it is the angle he is using it at

Me and Bob have both replicated the same missed bits by using it at far too shallow an angle

Instead of changing angle of the blade he chose to bend the clips the wrong way meaning it won't 0 detail properly

Just to show how easy it is used correctly this is a vid i did before the clip issue was brought to light

No froth then Dave coming out the ends and over the last 5mm of rubber of yours when ya turning??

And do you always close out on the side of the frame??

No froth on the rubbers but may be due to my mix of asda eco liquid and flash as opposed to frothy magnum or w5 etc

I close out wherever suits me at the time

I use Ecover Dave so not much froth but no matter what angel or handle i try it is the same last quarter of glass that leaves a

leaf shape of froth.

I cut angles years ago on channels but the scrapping on the frames put me off then and now with the modern detailing so i want to persevere. I hardly detail but do have some jobs that are a pig to get right (insides) and some contract work (shops) with deep frames that are difficult to get into the corners and are metal frames so the liquidator would be great with these but i am starting to loose my patience with it.

I will be ordering another when the fixed batch come out but perhaps it is not for me.

I know i will get stick for buying more when i have already got 4 channels but i think its a great idea and would save me time on a few weekly jobs.

I do feel the bend is too much and a couple of different degree bends would be a good idea

Will the channel fit on a wagtail?
yes, but before you drill any holes slide the channel into the Wagtail handle and compare the angle of the rubber to how the original channel rubber sat. i found i had to shave 1 or 2 mm off the top edge of the blue plastic slot to get the moerman channel sitting at correct angle . THEN and only then mark and drill the channel centre screw hole in the channel
