Looking at joining two brand new leisure batteries

As above looking at linking them just two cables from one battery to the other?

How do I go around charging them I have a eyelit connector to charge battery but if it's wired up to one will it charge them both at the same time

+ve to +ve, -ve to -ve. Just connect charger to 1 +ve terminal and 1 -ve terminal.
Personally I would put a fuse in the +ve connection to protect the cable.
