Looking to buy 325-425 litre tank and frame, with hose, reel and pole

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Thanks, don’t have V5 to hand but it’s a 2013 625 Enterprise HDI
625 means max load capacity of 625kg. I think the driver is classed as a load so 85kg + 25kg leisure battery, 20kg hose reel, 60kg full fuel tank gives you about 435kg for water tank, frame and water. So a 400lts tank,, frame and mounting may be just under 435kg but it's pushing it.

Just checked and a Wydale 400lts tank is 30kg plus mounting frame. So I would suggest you need a smaller tank to stay safe and legal!
I would look for a 300lts tank for your van but be aware that that might not be enough pure for a days work, so you might need to refill during the day.

Appreciate the help, think I’m gonna go for a 325/350, I’ve got 2 spotless water sites nearby so a refill isn’t the end of the world

Just so you know, my weight calcs were just estimates and may not reflect your kit.

You need to make sure you are not overweight as that can have severe legal implications plus safety issues.
