Measuring RO Ratio

I have a flow meter that measure how many litres go through the RO. I have been grabbing the waste pipe and filling a bucket up to 5 litres, then I check how much water has gone through and voila, I get my ratio.... Just wanted to check if anyone can think of any potential issues measuring this way. Also keen to hear if anyone else has though of a different way of measuring it?

I just use two cups of the same size, one for pure one for waste. Easy to calculate the ratio that way. Not terribly accurate though, but good enough for me in a low tds area with no water meter.

I have JG connections for the output so it just seems like a lot of effort to take the output pipe from the IBC. I used to use 2 buckets and wait until the first one hit 5 litres (Specifically 5 because its the most visible line in the bucket.

Yeah, I just have two 8mm hoses with push fit connectors on, so very easy to take them out.

Another idea I had was to add a water metre going into the ro, and another going from storage to van. Then I can see how much I use over time, and calculate waste ratio if I want to.

Really want to do digital flow meters and log it all with an raspberry pi or something, but can't really justify the time needed. Maybe one day.
